Dolores Vescelius Clinton

Dolores Vescelius Clinton, age 80 of Chelsea, formerly of Clinton, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at University of Michigan Hospitals. She was born July 26, 1929 in Tecumseh, the daughter of Cecil and Louella Bly. She was married to Dorman Vescelius on April 24, 1972 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1984. She later married Donald Clinton and he preceded her in death.
Dolores was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed last winter in Cape Coral, FL. She was a volunteer at Faith in Action in Chelsea. Dolores enjoyed casino trips to Detroit and to Las Vegas for the slots.
Dolores is survived by one daughter, Monica Braun of Chelsea; three grandchildren, Marissa and Bradley Hogan and Haley Braun all of Chelsea; four stepchildren; Gary (Mary Lou) Clinton of Ft. Wayne, IN, Scott (Robin) Clinton of North Carolina, Sue (Vic) Clinton of Livonia, and Sharon (Paul) Clinton of Livonia. In addition to her two husbands, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joyce Brueckner, and brother, Robert Bly. Dolores will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 29 at the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 30 at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Tom Hawkins of NewSong Community Church officiating. Visitation on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith in Action of Chelsea or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
